Cannabis FAQ - Frequently Asked QuestionsÂ

WHOLESALE CANNABIS FAQ, ANSWERED.
Here are the nuts and bolts behind The Deafening Ziplock, delivered through cannabis FAQs. We’re passionate about growing loud flower the right way, and we’re always happy to pull back the curtain on what makes our New Mexico-grown cannabis stand out.Â
The Deafening Ziplock was born in Southern California, where our founder spent years in one of the most competitive cannabis markets in the world...chasing exceptional genetics, mastering cultivation, and obsessing over every detail behind truly outstanding flower. That obsession paid off: seven wins out of eight entries at the SoCal Harvest Cup, going head-to-head with some of the best growers in the industry. With family roots in Abiquiu and a connection to Northern New Mexico, our founder brought that hard-earned expertise to Albuquerque and is now growing world-class flower under New Mexico skies. Today, we operate a state-of-the-art greenhouse where California cultivation knowledge meets sustainable, living-soil practices, producing flower that’s loud, clean, and unforgettable. We’re not just growing cannabis. We’re growing the kind of flower we’re proud to put our name on... and proud to smoke ourselves.Loud. Clean. Always Fresh. Grown in the Land of Enchantment.
Great question; we wrote a whole blog post on it.Cannabis wasn't always sold in glass jars with lab results and QR codes. It was measured out and handed over in a plain plastic bag. No label. No terpene sheet. No paper trail. Just a bag and a nickname, which is exactly where the term "a zip" comes from. "Ziplock" is a nod to that history."Deafening" is the other half. In this culture, "loud" already means flower so potent it announces itself the second the jar cracks open. We didn't want just loud. We wanted flower that hits you across the room before you even get the lid off. Not loud, deafening. So we're licensed, tested, and fully compliant with state regulations, top to bottom. What hasn't changed is the standard we hold the flower to.Open the bag, and you'll understand the name.
Indoor grows run on brute force: rows of artificial lights standing in for the sun, HVAC fighting the heat those lights throw off, dehumidifiers, CO2 injection, filtration, all pulling power around the clock. That electricity bill doesn't disappear; it shows up in the price of every pound.Greenhouse growing skips most of that. New Mexico's high desert gives us real sun and dry air that keeps mold and mildew from taking hold, so the climate does the work a light bank would otherwise be doing. Precision controls handle the rest: venting, airflow, irrigation, dialed in and monitored around the clock, but the baseline is sunlight, not a sealed box running on fossil fuels. The result is flower that goes head-to-head with indoor, grown with less electricity, less waste, and a lighter footprint on the land. We get into the full breakdown in Growing Loud Without Leaving a Heavy Footprint.
